School Meals

The DOE is committed to the health and well-being of every child, and continues to provide free, nutritious meals to all students every day. The healthy food provided helps students succeed inside and outside of the classroom, in alignment with Chancellor Banks’ Four Pillars to prioritize wellness and its link to student success. The DOE will continue to release monthly menu options on the School Food Menus page. As such, note that the menu for February is now available to mark the launch of the spring menu options for breakfast, lunch, and afterschool meals for students in all grades.

In an effort to inform families about the spring menu, please share the links below to the menu for February with families—also accessible via a QR code shown at the bottom of each page—and note that the link will be updated at the beginning of each month on the School Food Menus page to showcase new dining options; please share this information monthly with your school community. In addition, new menu items are now available to students at all grade levels, which have been student taste-tested and approved: BBQ veggie burger, teriyaki veggie nuggets and sweet potato gumbo. Please review the menu and share the link, as shown for the following grade bands: 3-Kpre-K—8 schoolsmiddle schoolshigh schools.

For more information, including a survey link for students and parents to provide feedback on menu options, make suggestions for additions to the menu, and share their dining experience in school cafeterias, review the School Food Menus page.
