P256Q @ PS43
About us
P256Q@PS43 is a co-located elementary and middle school program consisting of 14 self-contained classes from Kindergarten through the 8th grade. We also work collaboratively with PS43Q in the inclusion program.
Our program services both alternate and standardized assessment students. Our program for our alternate assessment students implements the Treatment and Education of Autistic and Communication related handicapped Children (TEACCH).
Our alternate assessment and standardized students follow a curricula that are aligned with the Common Core Learning Standards (CCLS).
Our students participate in field trips and special events throughout the school to help them build prior knowledge and explore the community.
Ratios served include:
6:1+1, 8:1+1, 12:1+1, and Inclusion
